We are so very happy and proud of Ana Moran and Jessica Tomlinson for their great achievements by earning their Master of Science degrees in Taxation from California State University, Northridge.

The Masters of Science (M.S.) Taxation program at CSUN integrates theory and practice throughout the curriculum. This innovative, 19-month graduate-degree program is designed for mid-career professionals and prepares participants for careers, or career advancement, as professional tax advisors and consultants in public accounting, industry, government and private practice.

To earn the M.S. in Taxation, candidates must complete 30 units of coursework with at least 3.0 grade point average. Each course integrates tax research, written communication and critical thinking skills with the curriculum and pedagogy. Certain courses also integrate skills in analytical review, compilation, and oral communication and provide advanced instruction in professional ethics and responsibilities.

Courses are taught by leading practitioners in the field. The program's blend of expertise and outstanding scholarship in the field of taxation adds immeasurably to the learning experience, which is strongly practice-oriented.

As part of their culminating experience, students have the option of participating in the Bookstein Institute's Tax Challenge Project, Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, VITA Clinic, Community Outreach Tax Clinic, or the student-run Tax Development Journal. Each of these opportunities serves to integrate the material learned in the program as well as to provide students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable practical experience.

An accomplishment of this kind, especially when working full time and pursuing an advanced degree, takes an incredible amount of focus, dedication, and commitment.  This is the same type of kind of commitment Ana and Jessica give to LGSH LLP’s clients and we are very grateful to have them as a part of our wonderful team.
